THE GUIDE TO YOUR CHARACTER'S AFFILIATIONS
Legionnaires
In order to advance to one of the 3 organizations, you will have to make at least 30 IC posts with your legionnaire characters. After doing so, you could request to join an organization by replying to this thread right here.
Listed below are the 3 organizations that your character could choose to join:
Civilians
Civilians are basically characters that have no affiliation with any of the organizations. All civilians start at Wall Rose. In order for a civilian to move from Wall Rose to Wall Sina, the innermost wall- and therefore the safest part of the world, they are required to pay a fee. The only exceptions are those that are part of the royal family, royal guards and the staff that works for the royal family; those people start in Wall Sina.
Civilians can hold any and all jobs that make logical sense. For example, you can have a character that's a doctor, or one that's a farmer. These types of characters are usually for people who enjoy the slice-of-life side of the story, but they're certainly not left out of the Titans' dinner plates.
Criminals
These are your average drug dealers, thieves, smugglers, slave traders and the criminal organizations that reside within the walls. But you don’t have to think that only civilians are part of these groups, even some soldiers have ties with the underground world, so don't be surprised if you see one of them with a pair of the infamous 3D maneuver gear.
Anyone, and I mean anyone can be a criminal. It doesn't matter what your character's status is, and it doesn't even matter what his/her alignment is. Do keep in mind that if you're caught, you'd have to suffer the consequences.
Wall Cult
The wall cult is formed by a group of people that worship the walls and consider them to be holy objects that were made by gods. What's special about these guys is that they know how to use alchemy, but the only problem is - They think of it as magic powers given by the same gods that made the walls.
These people have spent ages trying to perfect their craft, and by golly they're good at what they do. But what is it that they do, exactly? Aside from holding prayer ceremonies every Sunday evenings, they utilize a form of magic. Although we're labeling it as alchemy, matter manipulation is possible.
The choice of magic that your character possesses is up to you, but bear in mind that you can only do so much before your reserve runs out. As skilled as your character may be, you're just an above average human being, you're not a Dragon Slayer, or a full fledged magician, or a shinigami ninja hokage who mastered the 7 mystical arts like Chuck Norris.
Royal Family
The royal family are the ones that live right in the center of the walls, they are the ones protected by all three of them, plus the royal guards. They are the ones that make the most important decisions, decide the laws of the walls and keep the dark secrets of their family away from the ears of the population, making sure that they are the only ones who know about it.

Scouting Legion
The Scouting Legion, also known as Survey Corps or Recon Corps, is the branch of the Military most actively involved in Titan combat and human expansion. Despite having little to no success, they still symbolize "the hope of mankind", hoping that someday, their victory will change the world known to humanity, recovering what has been lost.
Military Police
The Military Police is the most prestigious due to their work allowing them to live within the Inner Wall where their headquarters are located. However, it is also the most corrupted military sector due to a lack of oversight compared to the other sectors of the military. Only the top ten graduates from trainee squads can apply for the Military Police. They are also responsible for keeping the civilians safe, not only from Titans, but from criminals as well.
Each member of the military police is also equipped with a rifle. Pew pew pew.
Stationary Guard
The Stationary Guard, also known as the Garrison, is the largest of the Military divisions which protects and maintains order near the Walls. Given the fatality rate of the Scouting Legion and the limited entry of the Military Police, most soldiers join the Stationary Guard. As they often have close contact with both Titans and human civilians, they are proficient over a wide variety of tasks such as Titan combat (defensive battles), cannonading, security detail, crowd control, and rifle usage.
